In Macha Monkey’s New Play Winter Workshop, Seattle playwright Kelleen Conway Blanchard, author of Edith's Head and Small Town (Annex Theatre), will develop Hearts Are Monsters, a brand new comedy with deadly consequences. Hearts Are Monsters features a 16-year-old girl with a misshapen head, her pretty twin sister (a former child star who now debauches), their drunk and lonely mother, a sexy football star who plays guitar, and Daddy’s ghost. He seeks justice.
